ACCREDITATION ASSESSMENT VISIT FOR ACADEMIC PROGRAMMES IN UNIVERSITI AMALAYSIA KELANTAN (UMK) BY MALAYSIAN BOARDS OF TECHNOLOGY (MBOT)

Full Accreditation Assessment Visit in hybrid was held on 19 & 20 July 2022 (Tuesday & Wednesday) and involved three (3) academic programmes at Faculty Bioengineering and Technology (FBKT). The program involved in the assessment as follows:

1. Bachelor of Applied Science (Forest Resources Technology) With Honours
2. Bachelor of Applied Science (Materials Technology) With Honours
3. Bachelor of Applied Science (Bioindustrial Technology) With Honours

These three programs have been fully accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). The transition to this assessment is to gain full accreditation recognition by the Malaysian Board of Technology (MBOT). MBOT is a professional body established by the government to achieve high quality in the Technical & Vocational Education Training (TVET) field. The final results of this evaluation show all the programs that have been approved for the MBOT accreditation transition. Hopefully, with this transition, FBKT will be able to produce more outstanding students not only in the theoretical field but also in the technical field. This transition can also benefit students and society, especially the industry in making students more competitive in the future.
